Sport and Nutrition: a winning team!

26.09.2019 - Italy

Today in more than 40 public and private facilities all over Italy Markas officially launched the project "#Sportandnutrition: a winning team!", eating properly in order to move better. The day, entirely dedicated to the nutrition for sportspeople, is the second of three stops of the project signed Markas that aims at divulgating the importance of a healthy nutrition, especially for those who eat in canteens every day.

The company proposed recipes studied by Markas’ dieticians team and realized in collaboration with Stefano Cavada, food blogger and TV presenter. The dishes were included in the menu of a selection of canteens and offered to the users in Trentino-South Tyrol, Veneto, Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Marche and Apulia.

“We launched this event in order to satisfy the nutrition related curiosities of the people who practice sports – says Armin Boschetto, Head of production Food for Markas – It’s important to know what and when to eat if we want to support our sport performance. We believe that canteens, a place where many workers and students eat their lunch every day, can be a start point to spread a more aware nutrition and provide our users with an extra value”.

“The event Sport and Nutrition is the second stop of our nutrition education project that started in May – says Evelyn Kirchmaier-Kasslatter, Markas’ General Manager   A different format that pays attention to the changes regarding the nutrition that are characterizing our society. Nowadays final users are more informed, more careful and our goal is to provide a high quality service that at the same time offers informations and advices for a healthy lifestyle”.

Thanks to the special collaboration between Markas’ dietitians team and Stefano Cavada, the company also created a video recipe exclusively prepared with #sportandnutrition ingredients and available at the following link: https://www.markas.com/en/videoricette/sport-and-nutrition-1107.html
