The compatibility of work and family is one of Markas’ core priorities

75% of the 2.200 Markas’ employees are working part-time. This is why Markas intensively deals with the topic reconciliation of work and family life. All the more we are very proud that we managed to receive the basic certificate of the state-approved seal “berufundfamilie”. With this certificate, Markas voluntarily commits itself to set up and implement further measures which contribute to a more family-friendly working environment at Markas. “In a sector, which is mainly dominated by female workforce, it is important for us as an employer, to offer jobs, which can be well arranged with family life. This is why we are currently thinking about measures which address not just our office staff, but also our wage-earning employees”, Peter Gasser, Head of Human Resources, sums up.
