The Logistics & Care service provides internal transport of patients, biological samples and medical supplies, and the management of hospital storerooms and on-ward support services, with Operatori Socio Sanitari (OSS – healthcare support workers) dedicated to patient care.
A dedicated monitoring system tracks requests, transport and execution times in real time. Whoever coordinates the service can thus access clear, updated information to support decision-making.
We manage over 130,000 transport operations per month. Achieving this requires an extensive operational network, coordinated teams and optimised routes: the service remains responsive even during peak demand.
We reduce unnecessary steps, waiting times and inefficiencies to avoid slowing down wards, treatments and daily operations. The aim is to reduce the operational burden on healthcare workers and ensure the facility's continuity of service.

The importance of arriving at the right time.

A patient to accompany, a sample to take to the lab, medical supplies to deliver to the ward or a room to prepare. Different operations, which often go unnoticed. But when they are done well, they help healthcare workers focus on the most important thing: taking care of people.

Logistics&Care, everything that keeps the facility running.

  • Patient transfer

    We accompany patients between wards, the accident and emergency department, operating theatres, outpatient clinics and other areas of the facility, paying special attention to punctuality, safety and personal dignity.

  • Transport of biological and pharmaceutical material

    We transport medicines, devices, samples and medical supplies to where they are needed, when they are needed, following procedures for sensitive operations.

  • On-ward support

    We support healthcare personnel in their daily operations that make patient areas more orderly and comfortable: rooms, beds, linen, meals and on-ward services.

  • Healthcare waste management

    We handle waste according to safe and controlled procedures to reduce risks and ensure the facility's proper processes are maintained.

  • Pharmaceutical stock management

    We provide support for the distribution and control of stock between departments, helping to make the work of doctors, nurses and healthcare workers more efficient.

  • Patient care

    We support the facility in the daily care of people, with operators trained in respect for privacy, safety and the dignity of patients.
