Project ''Raffaello'': our commitment to workplace inclusion.

Markas - Project "Raffaello"
OUR COMMITMENT

Workplace inclusion only becomes a reality when it goes beyond a statement of principle and shapes the way an organisation works.

That is why we have chosen to sign the Charter of Rights developed through the “Raffaello – Inclusion Creates Value” project. In doing so, we have committed to rethinking how we support employees facing vulnerable circumstances and those with caring responsibilities in their day-to-day working lives.

What is project ''Raffaello''?

Launched on 27 October 2025 by a law firm specialising in employment law and an organisational consultancy, the Raffaello Project aims to turn widely shared principles into everyday business practices. The initiative brought together several companies to exchange experiences and perspectives, culminating in a jointly developed document designed to support people facing vulnerable circumstances throughout their careers. We took part in these discussions and, at the end of the process, chose to sign the Charter.

Why did Markas get involved?

Taking part in the Raffaello project gave us the opportunity to address this issue first-hand, sharing our organisational experience with other organisations and openly discussing the challenges we face in supporting vulnerable people in their day-to-day lives. The result is a practical document developed step by step with the other participating companies, rather than imposed from the top down. Recognising the value of this collaborative work, we decided to go beyond simply taking part and formally sign the Charter, using it to guide our future organisational decisions.

WHAT THIS MEANS

What will change in practice?

Hands

Through this project, we are committed to creating a workplace where people facing vulnerable circumstances do not feel they have to hide for fear of being judged. This commitment also extends to employees who care for a family member outside working hours. The Charter calls on companies to recognise the importance of their role and offer employees practical support in balancing their personal and professional lives, without having to compromise either.
