Valentine's Day is here, and whether you're celebrating with your significant other, good friends, or simply treating yourself to a relaxing evening at home, nothing sets the mood quite like a delicious homemade cake.

Valentine's day banana bread recipe
Ingredients:
300g flour
3 ripe bananas
1 egg
100g grated apple or apple mousse
30g sugar
30g seed oil
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1 sachet of baking powder
1 pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Preparation:
Mash the bananas with a fork.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg with the sugar, a pinch of salt, and the vanilla sugar. Add the oil gradually while continuing to mix.
Stir in the grated apple and mashed banana. If you wish, add a pinch of cinnamon to taste.
Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it, and gradually add it to the mixture.
Place the mixture in a buttered and floured loaf pan or plum-cake baking mold.
Pre-heat the oven at 160°C. Once it has reached the right temperature, place your loaf pan in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes. During the final 10 minutes, keep checking visually to see if it's done.
To make sure your cake is done, insert a toothpick into the centre of the cake, and if necessary, bake for a few more minutes.
Valentine's day zucchini cake recipe
Ingredients:
180g sugar
180g zucchini
280g flour
3 eggs
90g seed oil
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1 sachet of baking powder
1 pinch of cinnamon (optional)
1 pinch of salt
Preparation:
Wash the zucchini and grate them into julienne strips.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt, sugar, and vanilla sugar until the mixture is light and frothy. Gradually add the oil while continuing to beat.
Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it, and gradually add it to the mixture.
Add the pinch of cinnamon. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured loaf pan or plum-cake baking mold.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 50 minutes. During the final 10 minutes, keep checking visually to see if it's done.
