As a service company, we have always been paying attention to people. Thanks to them, their dedication and the way they serve our communities, we have kept growing.

In January 2022, Markas has celebrated 10000 employees across Italy, Austria and Germany.

This milestone is a proof of our positive company culture which is also reflected in our business decisions, our services and our long-term relationships with our clients.

The beginning of an extraordinary journey

It all began on May 15th, 1985 with a few dozen employees and the dream of Mario Kasslatter to create a leading mutli-service business that would never compromise on quality. 

After a few smaller projects, in spring of 1986, Markas wins its first important cleaning contract  and starts its collaboration with 'Azienda Ospedaliera Santa Croce e Carle'; a collaboration that continues to this very day and proves our reliability, fairness and strong commitment to our employees and our business partners.  

Today, we count 11 offices  in 3 different countries. We continue honoring our values and we keep growing thanks to the determination, passion and dedication of our staff.

10.000 employees means much more than a number to us. Our people are our success and their motivation and satisfaction is the key to high quality services for everyone! 

That's why we never stop investing in a positive company culture where collaboration, creative thinking and personal growth are key values. 

No matter the role or the location of our employees, through a series of initiatives and tailor-made training programs we ensure that they are properly qualified, actively involved and respected as individuals.

During 2020 and despite the pandemic we invested more than 37.500 hours in staff training while creating truly inclusive workplaces where all workers feel welcome and safe has never stopped being a priority.

At Markas we see diversity  as a strength.

The combinations of different social and professional backgrounds not only creates an open and positive work culture and promotes the exchange of ideas but it also offers the chance to learn from each other. 

In fact, currently there are 84 nationalities among our staff and we count more than 150 employees with disabilities. 

At the same time, we actively recruit people who face obstacles on the traditional labor market in order to offer them a work environment that better fits their individual needs.
