This year, a record number of entries were submitted:
the jury reviewed more than 230 nominations. Markas was nominated in two categories: "Leader of the Year" and "Commitment to Diversity in the Workforce". The 49 finalists in 10 categories were announced at a gala dinner. The judging panel included Michelle Marshall, founder of the ECH-Awards, Lynn Webster, Juan Diez de los Rios de San Juan and Frank Veneman.
David Demetz, Claudia Schuster, Thomas Meindorfer and Enikö Hazafi from Markas Austria and Elisa Montanari from Markas Italy were attending the event and proudly accepted the 1st prize in the category "Commitment to Diversity in the Workforce".
"We are very proud of this award", says Managing Director Gerlinde Tröstl. "It is a confirmation of our efforts to create a diverse and inclusive work environment." Markas has been setting initiatives in this field for years.
